Nescafé is an instant coffee brand made by Nestlé, a Swiss company dating back to the 1800s. The brand started with a dedication to making the best-tasting and healthy food and drink across a wide range of categories, following the mantra, “Good food, good life.” Nestlé first began developing instant coffee at the initiative of the Brazilian government in 1930 to help preserve surpluses from the annual coffee harvest. By grinding whole coffee beans and sealing them in airtight containers, the coffee could last longer and had the added benefit of being much faster to brew into a delicious cup.
