Let’s start with the basic and simple notion that coffee is a product of nature. Therefore, its life cycle is not infinite, and like for any other food product: the sooner we consume it, the better!
When talking about storage, we can first of all state what coffee does NOT like: air, humidity, heat, and light.
The myth about keeping coffee in the refrigerator
There is definitely one myth that we have to dispel: coffee should NOT be stored in the fridge. The reason is quite simple: since coffee does not like humidity, by placing and removing the coffee from the fridge, a condensation effect takes place (think about those drops of water that form on food or Tupperware when you remove it from the fridge!) and the coffee will then have a completely different aroma and taste. The same thing is true for the freezer.
So what is the best way to store coffee?
Here is a summary of do’s and don’ts which we recommend when storing coffee:
•Store in a dry, cool place at a temperature between 59° and 68° F and a humidity of less than 50%
•Choose coffee packaged in materials that keep the light away and when possible, that have a valve
•When possible, use an airtight metal tin for storage but most opaque, airtight vessels will do
•Use a glass or transparent packaging / glass container
•Store coffee in the refrigerator or freezer
•Keep the coffee packaging open for too long

Restaurants use liquid coffee (coffee concentrate) that is diluted in special commercial coffee makers. There is no coffee like this in the retail or at-home category. We suggest trying their flagship product, Aroma Rood. However, we can not guarantee that it will be similar in taste to the coffee concentrates.

There are three main types of coffee bean: Robusta, Arabica, and Liberica.
Coffee Arabica: This is the most popular type of coffee bean and makes up more than three-quarters of coffee beans sold worldwide. Arabica beans are referred to as gourmet coffee beans but only have half the amount of caffeine that robusta beans do. They are best known for their rich aroma and flavor.
Coffee Robusta: These beans are lower-grade beans and are grown at lower altitudes. They are easy to maintain and are more disease-resistant, meaning they are easier to produce. They also contain a larger amount of caffeine than arabica, making them better for an early morning wakeup. However, they are said to have less aroma and flavor than other beans.
Liberica: These are the hardest type of coffee bean to come by out of the four major bean types. They are known for their unusual shape and flavor that has a mix of smoky and floral undertones. Excelsa coffee beans are often considered to be part of the Liberica family. They are similar in shape and rowing region, but have a tart and heavier taste.
On average there are around 95 mg of caffeine in a cup of coffee (8 fl oz, or 237 g). This can vary based on the brand and type of coffee, but is a good estimate of the average amount of caffeine in most cups of coffee.
Most cups of tea have about 26 mg of caffeine per 1 cup (8 fl oz, or 237 g), meaning that your average cup of tea has a little more than a fourth the amount of caffeine that the same sized cup of coffee would have. However this can also vary based on brand and type of tea. If you are looking to cut your caffeine intake, then tea is a great coffee substitute. Chicory-based drinks are also a great coffee alternative, with a similar taste to coffee and 0 mg of caffeine.

Many other countries around the world also grow tea, but these are the most plentiful tea-producing regions. The area known for the best-quality tea is the Ceylon Valley in Sri Lanka, which produces over 4 million kilos of tea leaves each year.

Chicory has several health benefits, such as stimulating healthy gut bacteria and reducing skin inflammation, and it might even be able to reduce the risk of liver disease and some cancers.
