While described as a dark roast on the Nescafé UK web site, it's really a moderately-roasted blend with clean Central American sweetness and lingering acidity. At 1 heaping teaspoon per six ounce cup you have a delicious, balanced cup of coffee that in no way tastes like instant. No it's not equal to just-roasted, freshly-ground whole beans, but it's better than 90% of the brewed coffee you'll find, and I say that as a specialty coffee pro with 28 years of experience.
